Warning – Freelancer.com affiliate program scam

Freelancer.com scam ,

Freelancer.com scam

If you are considering an affiliate program avoid using the Freelancer.com affiliate program . Till May 15, 2011, they were making payments regularly, but after that they have stopped crediting any referrals. Their support refuses to acknowledge the problem.

My websites had referred 6400 users to freelancer.com , now they have stopped crediting the referral bonus. (screenshot attached). I challenge Freelancer.com and its CEO Matt Barrie to prove that the above facts are incorrect.

4 Ways to Spot a Work at Home Scam

Before you set out and apply for the jobs listed on this site, you’re going to want to know on how you can spot a scam, as well as spot a legitimate company. There are so many people out there that want to work at home and sadly, people take desperate measures to get these jobs. If you’re looking to get a job at home doing something, there are great companies out there. You’ll just have to know how to spot them.

Here are a few job tips that you can use to spot those scams:

#1 Research the company: The first thing that you’re going to want to do is check out the company. Generally, a simple Google search is going to yield some great results. Be sure to read the reviews, as well as look at what they do. Just ask yourself if they sound like a legit company.

#2 Don’t pay a fee: Let’s say that you’re going to pick up a KFC job application for example. You’ll fill it out, hand it in and wait for your response. Now, let’s say that they call you up and hire you. But wait, you’re going to have to pay $150 to join the company! Does this make sense? No! This is why you shouldn’t pay a fee online either.

#3 Trust your gut: Read into the company profile, or even the job listing. The first thing that you’re going to want to do is look into it and think, “Does this sound true?” If it sounds too good to be true, you may want to just trust your gut. What you’re going to find is that there are a lot of bad companies out there that only care about filling up their own pocketbooks. The key here is to ALWAYS trust your gut.

#4 Look for contact information: The last thing that should raise a red flag is if there isn’t any contact information such as an email, phone number and more. What you’re going to want to do is make sure that you look into some sort of contact information. This will ensure that they are a legit company and you’re going to be able to contact them somehow.
